ProxyWay magazine recently published an article about OxyLabs ISP proxy's new billing methods (๐Ÿ”— read more). The market reacted negatively, seeing the impact of Oxylabs and their ISP proxies on NetNut. Below are my insights.

  • Oxylabs now offers a new billing model for its customers, which provides more flexibility for larger customers by allowing billing per IP or bandwidth usage.
  • NetNut offers both pay-per-use billing models.
  • I don't see "new" competition. It's the same competition as it has always been.
  • In any company, a large customer receives a "tailor-made" billing model.
  • Each large customer pays according to their specific needs. This is not a new conceptโ€”it's just how the business world operates. The billing model can also combine several metrics.
  • According to the "Proxy Market Research 2024" benchmark, NetNut had the most IPs in the global pool.
  • Open-source projects are developed around NetNut solutions, making it easy to adapt their services (Check out their recent webinars).

My insights above keep me positive and certain about Alarum's ability to focus on the business, develop new solutions, and be competitive.
